How to get the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to your spending budget:

  • Booking in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 9th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w\/ WiFi, Pool\/Hot Tub, AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your group.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
