Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning and picking a perfectvacation home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean view condo, steps to the beach and super close to resort amenities!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your family.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a great stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
