Tips for getting the perfect rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental home:
- Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Ocean View King Suite! Perfect for 4 Guests! Sea Mist unit 51304 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
