Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the perfect rental home:
- Choose vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 704 Direct Oceanfront 2 bedroom\/2 bath condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
