Rental home booking tips:
Finding the best value:
- To get the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best vacation rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Immaculate Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your agreement.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
