How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront 2 Bedroom in 57 Acre Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Additional considerations:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
