Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. B255 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Cozy Coastal Escape has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
