Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Recently Updated! Oceanfront Condo-Palace 1404 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
