Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Deluxe King Suite : 2nd Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
