We understand the importance of a calming, delightful stay for our guests, even as we make these improvements. That’s why our resort will remain open throughout the renovation period. Renovations will begin in early October and are expected to finish by the end of March. We’re working floor by floor in both the Dominican and Cayman buildings, ensuring the least amount of disruption.

Here’s what you can expect during this time:

Construction will only take place during normal business hours, and any noise will be kept to a minimum.

We aim to keep your experience as seamless and comfortable as possible while we work to make it even better!

Booking the best rental home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Selecting and booking your prefectvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Above the Waves Oceanfront Three Bedroom Penthouse has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
