Tricks and tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront newly updated condo at MB Resort Renaissance Tower has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the host before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
