Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanfront newly updated condo at MB Resort Renaissance Tower has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
