Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Queen Suite Sleeps 5~Sand Dunes 2933 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
