Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Getting the best rental value:
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Finding the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Oceanfront Luxury Suite has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
