Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanview cozy couples oasis studio pools hot tub wifi walk to attractions! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
Additional considerations:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
