Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the right Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. One Bedroom Ocean Front Condo, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 2555389 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- During arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
