Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental:
- Select your vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. \"One Particular Harbour\" In Myrtle Beach Golf & Yacht Club Gated Community has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
Additional considerations:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
