RECENT GUEST COMMENT: My family and I appreciated our stay at the Myrtle Beach Resort. Bob's condo is very gorgeously decorated, very clean and comfortable. Bob is a very kind person who is painless to deal with. My damage deposit was returned to me in less than a week after our trip. I would recommend Bob's condo to any of my friends. -Tracy, Knoxville, TN

Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Finding the best rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Weeks in April and May 70 dollars a night, Ocean Front, Beachfront restaurant has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
