Vacation rental tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Choosing and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Palms Resort 1406 - Oceanfront! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before booking the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is right for your group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
Have a great stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
