Strategies to get the best rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Panoramic Perch 7th Flr Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Have a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
