What to Expect During the Renovation: Minimizing Disruptions
We understand the importance of a calming, fun stay for our guests, even as we make these improvements. That’s why our resort will remain open throughout the renovation period. Renovations will begin in early October and are expected to finish by the end of March. We’re working floor by floor in both the Dominican and Cayman buildings, ensuring the least amount of disruption.
Here’s what you can expect during this time:
Construction will only take place during normal business hours, and any noise will be kept to a minimum.
Common areas such as the lobby, exercise center, and game room may be temporarily closed, but we’re doing everything we can to offer alternative amenities when possible.
We aim to keep your experience as seamless and comfortable as possible while we work to make it even better!

Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Spacious Ocean View Elegance 3 Bdrm Condo 14th Flr has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
