Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Perfect Vacation walk to the beach (5) has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your family.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
