How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- To find the best rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, picking, and booking a perfectvacation home:
- Choose your vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Ocean Lakes Site 1761 Covered front porch w\/ TV! Short walk to Southgate in OL! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Know before you go:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
