Tricks and tips to get the best rental home experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the perfectrental:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Queen Studio 3rd Floor: Oceanfront Comfort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you crave, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
Know before you go:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
