Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips:
When to go & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Relax and Unwind in B338 at The Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is optimal for your group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
