Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and choose your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. NOW BOOKING FOR 2025\n4 minutes to beach\n1 minute to pool\n3BR 2BA W\/Golfcart has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
