Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the largest rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Renovated oceanfront condo with hot tubs, pools, lazy river, gym, balcony, W\/D has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
