Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • To start, have your family choose date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 635 Carolinian Resort · Seas the Day has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is suitable for your group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
