Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental home:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 635 Carolinian Resort · Seas the Day has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
