Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best rental within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book a perfectrental:
- Select vacation dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Seawatch Cozy n Clean October 69. per night! 4 Nt Min. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- During arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
