Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
