What to Expect During the Renovation: Minimizing Disruptions
We understand the importance of a calming, delightful stay for our guests, even as we make these improvements. That’s why our resort will remain open throughout the renovation period. Renovations will begin in early October and are expected to finish by the end of March. We’re working floor by floor in both the Dominican and Cayman buildings, ensuring the least amount of disruption.
Here’s what you can expect during this time:
Construction will only take place during normal business hours, and any noise will be kept to a minimum.
Common areas such as the lobby, exercise center, and game room may be temporarily closed, but we’re doing everything we can to offer alternative amenities when possible.
We aim to keep your experience as seamless and comfortable as possible while we work to make it even better!

Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Spacious Coastal Living Three Bdrm Condo 3rd Flr has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If they are not listed, email the host before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
