Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Selecting and booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Spacious Condo on the 4th Hole of Pine Hills Golf Course has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If not, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
