How to find the best vacation rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
Make a plan and choose the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Spectacular 8th Floor Deluxe Oceanfront King Suite has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
