How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- To get the best vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose your Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. ??Stunning Ocean Front 2BD\/2BA, in Heart of Myrtle Beach New 50” Smart TV has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
More considerations:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
