Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. ??Stunning Ocean Front 2BD\/2BA, in Heart of Myrtle Beach New 50” Smart TV has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your trip.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Additional considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
