Finding the best rental home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose the best vacation home:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Stunning Ocean View King Suite w\/ Balcony + Onsite Pool has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
