Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick the perfectrental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Stunning Oceanfront 2bd\/2Ba Condo, Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If not, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
