How to find the best rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • To start, have your group decide on trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Stunning, steps to the beach condo with full access to resort amenities! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is right for your group.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
