How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Updated 2 Bedroom Unit with Ocean View has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
