Rental home booking tips and tricks:
Getting the best rental home value:
- To find the largest rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.
Finding the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Whoa! Amazing view!! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
