Our top Vacation rental tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Stunning1-Bedroom Suite! Beautifully Renovated with Views!-Grande Cayman 864 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
