Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Stylish Escape Oceanview Suite @ Meridian Plaza! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
