Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips and tricks:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 1603 Royale Palms - Full access to resort amenities has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If not, call the host before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
