How to get the best rental home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Make a plan and choose the perfectrental home:
- Select your dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. ????????Sunrises by the Sea???????? Oceanfront???? 3 Bedroom 2 Bath w\/laundry room in unit has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
