Strategies to get the best rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the best rental:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 1st Fl Direct Oceanfront-Stunning Panoramic View-FREE Linens,WiFi,Shore Dr. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is best for your vacation group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your invoice.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
