How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by having your group decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. The Cozy Condo, 1st floor, just steps to beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
