Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to a budget:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. This 2nd floor condo is just 3\/4 mile to the beach with free parking in front. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
