Tricks and tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Filter your search:
- Start by having your group choose a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Tropical Paradise - Sands Oceanfront Luxury Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Advice for a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
