Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful, Family Friendly, 2 Bdrm, 2 Full Baths. Ocean view. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
