Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Finding the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Unit 351 by the Sea @ The Landmark Resort!\n\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If not, email or call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
