Rental home booking tips:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Unit 351 by the Sea @ The Landmark Resort!\n\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your invoice.
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
