Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Just bring your bathing suit ! Steps to the beach ! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
