Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to pick the perfect rental:
- Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Waterview Retreat \/ 3BR Condo Near Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
