Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- First, have your group select vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- 3BR Condo Near Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
